View Full Version : Alternate site for daemon_tools
The daemon_tools website seems to be down. Here is a link for the latest version I could find. Darn, that link did not work so I took it out. Do a search for Daemon tools 3.32 in google, that should find you an alternate site or http://web1.athen215.server4free.de/daemon_tools.htm

@holomatrix dont stop the smile, i like em:) i think that putting a hxxp then the address is better for doom9's bandwidth then puting a direct link but i guess to each his own:)

@mrbass yeah i'm starting to get the same feeling, tho i dont care much for deamon tools as there are better programs like alcohol 120% but anyways it is a sad time because deamon is free and for that price was good for people that can't be bothered to learn how to search for there tools so for those people hahahah. But on another note it is sad to see something that has evolved in to something so big and then just vanish...

Hi buddies,
just wanted to inform you about the new website of the d'tools - it's now at http://www.daemon-tools.cc/ - at least they claim they're official - just kidding - all the developpers are there in the forum as well, so it is official. ;)
@chainie:
I heard they (d'tools developpers) sold their engine to alcohol 120% - so I would say alcohol 120% is d'tools with a better GUI and a few good addons. And that's also the reason d'tools is limited to 4 virtual drives.
Hope this helps,
Gerti

Thanks gerti, btw it is very nice to see you around again:DDDD
i heard that fantom cd was the same engine as alcohol 120% not deamon tools, but either way it is nice to have the webpage hehe not sure how you heard or found this webpage as i searched for a few minutes and all links were dead....oh well glad to see it isn't gone.
Gerti, here is a link to an article that pretty much says the same thing as the article i read a few months ago. About fantom cd and alcohol 120%.
hxxp://www.daemon-tools.cc/portal/viewtopic.php?t=32
So it seems one of the lead programmers was working on Fantom cd then switched to the Alcohol 120%, to me they seem pretty much the same but alcohol is better then fantom cd with a few new options ect..c-ya:)
