Problem encoding DVD In CCE, and need help

Here is my problem.
I am trying to backup a DVD of mine, and I noticed that while looking throught the vob files, that the director scenes for the movie also appear in the vob main movie files.
This, i would have thought, would mean that when I go to encode and finish the final dvd, would result in a movie that would suddenly cut, from the main movie, to the quick dc scene, back to the main movie. Obviously i do not want these addition dc scenes, so the question is, how do i remove them, or stop them from appearing in the final dvd.

Software using:
CCE-2.5-2.66
dvd2avi
vfapi
dvdmaestro
dvd decrypter.

Another question is am i using the correct software for what i am trying to do, or do i need to use something else.

what is happening is that when ive saved the dvd2avi file, all parts of the movie are viewable, but all i want is the main movie.

EXAMPLE (- IS MAIN MOVIE, A IS UNWANTED)

ORIGINAL FILES IN DVD SOFTWARE

---------------------

Basically how do u stop the unwanted stuff from appearing but without physically deleting them, so it would be v. close to looking like the original files.

Sounds like you have a multiple PGC vob set. If you go back to dvd decrypter and decrypt only the main movie PGC from the original vob set, you will be fine (note that you must be in IFO mode not file mode). Of course, you will lose the director’s commentary entirely this way.

Thanx for the help, but i fixed my problem.
The DVD i was trying to backup was Die Another Day, and it was the directorys commentry that kept getting in the way.
I solved it by using DVDDecrypter and using F ile and then in Settings, I Selected Multi Angle Processing and told it to retain angle 1. This seems to have worked, even though i think it should have done the opposite from what i have seen on some of the treads on this forum.

I have checked the newly made vobs in dvd2avi, and the dc stuff no longer exists, so now all i need to do is re-encode it.

ur way was correct, for some reason all but the dc stuff near the end was removed, so there was still some extras stuff not required.
Used the info u gave me and it worked fine now.
