Hi.

I have encoded an .ac3 file into mp3 using the latest beta of BeSweet and with the following command :

"d:\Audio - Video - Picture\Audio\Tools\BeSweet\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "e:\Demolition\Demo_AC3 AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -88ms.ac3" -output "e:\Demolition\Besweet.mp3" -logfilea "D:\Audio - Video - Picture\Audio\Tools\BeSweet\BeSweet.log" ) -azid( -z1 -b1 -s surround -c normal --maximize ) -lame( --alt-preset 128 ) -profile( ~~~~~ Default Profile ~~~~~ )

When I mux the mp3 with the video stream through NanDub, should I manually set the delay to -88ms or is the mp3 automatically delay-configured when encoded through Besweet, so that I should set the delay through NanDub to 0ms ?

You'll have to set it manually with Nandub (ever tried VirtualDubMod?). Personally I always "fix" the delay in Besweet(GUI) so it's fixed once and for all so that I don't have to bother with it when it's muxing time.

Aha, I see. But what if I use BeSweet through GKnot to transncode the audio ? When I load the .ac3 file into the Audio 1 TAB of GKnot (after Save & Encode), the program automatically sets the delay to what the ac3 filename says. By doing this, does GKnot "fix" the output mp3 through BeSweet once and for all or does it just set the delay to -88ms during the muxing process with VirtualDubMod ?

I haven't used GK for that purpose in a long time, so I'm not sure.

That command you provided, did you get that from a logfile generated by GK? If so, the audio track isn't fixed and GK rather sends the delay value to VirtualDubMod when it muxed the file.

If not, then I still don't know.

No, that command is from BeSweet itself. I believe my last question is rather irrelevant for this Section so I'll post it in the GKnot one. Thanks for your help nontheless.

If you happen to have a GK log-file lying around you can check that. It will give you the besweet command it used and if it doesn't say a "-delay %" in it it's done at the muxing.

Or you could just wait a while.

Unfortunately, I have no GKnot log file to see.
