What filters should i use on movies (vob files)that suffer from film noise? Some of my dvd's look like they were shot on toilet paper so i need a filter that blurs the image slightly to reduce this noise?
I use autodub to encode movies and always aim for one-cd rips. Any suggestions on a suitable filter to remove strong noise?
Please look around the forums and use the search button before posting a question like this. There are very many threads on this issue.
That said, personally I'd most likely use Deen for a DVD with heavy noise.

Apart from that, a very low-qual DVD is likely to have artifacts, too. Check out whether mepg2dec3 with the line cpu2="xxxxox or even cpu=4 helps in that case, too.

I use Autodub and find that the Convolution3d set at light or medium works great.
