Hello all,

I have "Black Adder" which has 6 PGC's, each one is an episode. All of them together cannot fit in one DVD-R. What I tried to do is to split the original to 2 discs using IFOedit, but I ended to two folders not playable because VIDEO_TS.IFO was not created. I cannot figure out what went wrong, since I have already splitted a movie to 2 discs and it was succesful (it was Matrix).

The next thing I thought of is to create a new DVD title which will fit into one disc, with each episode compressed. I can easily compress each PGC (episode) seperately and re-create it as a movie with the desired subtitles but I cannot figure out how to do it. You know, maybe I will need some sort of menu and of course I need to know how to calculate the compression for each PGC. I have no money to spend for Scenarist or other tools for professionals.

Any ideas please? Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Follow the split guide using ifoedit that u will find in the guides section of doom9.

I recently backed up Black Adder using CCE and ifoedit/ifoupdate and it all went very smooth. Do a one pass VR to get the vaf file and then do a multipass VR with 2810 as the bitrate with 2 passes and u r done.

U can find hundred of post about CCE here and a guide on the guide section on www.doom9.org
