I ripped the soundtrack to A Hard Days Night from the DVD using SmartRipper, then vob2audio to encode the vts_01 file to .wav. It seems less noticable during dialog parts, but the songs have a very hollow sound to them, like listening to them in a 55gal drum.

It's an old movie, obviously, and the soundtrack is in mono. But it's been remastered in DD sound, I'm surprised at the poor quality of the soundtrack. vob2audio did not give me a pop-up window to enable changing any settings. I selected the vts_01 for the voblist window, selected the english version under audiostream, selected a destination under targetfile and it went to work right away.

Any ideas on why it has a hollow sound?

thanks..
