[Note: This is my first attempt at a Cheat Sheet, and I think of it as a humble tribute to 2COOL. Much of what I figured out came from studying his sheets & guides. THANKS!]
Jimmy Neutron Widescreen [Region 1] Cheat Sheet
Tools I used:
DVD Decrypter in File Mode
IFOedit 0.95
MenuEdit 1.3.1
Title Information:
Title 1: VTS_06 contains widescreen movie
Results:
Widescreen movie with all menus, plus special features “Making of…,” “Teaser Trailer,” and “Theatrical Trailer.” Total size: 3.9 gb.
1. Rip movie to HD.
With DVD-Decrypter, rip Video_TS.* and VTS_1_*.* thru VTS_6_*.*.
2. Open for editing.
With IFOedit, open VIDEO_TS.IFO and press “Get VTS Sectors” buttons to load other IFOs.
3. Backup all IFOs.
4. Change FirstPlay to start movie automatically.
a. In VIDEO_TS.IFO, in top half of screen select VMGM_MAT, and then FirstPlay PGC.
b. In bottom half of screen, scroll down to PGC Command Table. Right-Click on any Pre-Command, and ADD Pre-Command (#4 will be added).
c. Right-Click on the new Pre-Command 4 and edit, so that the new entry reads (Jump_TT) Jump to Title: 1.
d. Save.
5. Modify menus to eliminate Widescreen/Fullscreen menu.
a. In VTS_06_0.IFO, in the upper half of the screen click on the first line for the VTS Overview. In the lower half of the screen scroll down to Menu Language Unit 1 [English], select and Delete Playback menus 7 and 9. [7 deletes the WS/FS menu intro; 9 deletes one of the movie logo screens.]
b. Back in the top half of the screen, select and expand VTSM_PGCI_UT; underneath, select PGC-Menu_8.
c. In bottom half of screen, scroll down to PGC Command Table. Right-Click on any Pre-Command, and ADD Pre-Command (#10 will be added).
d. Right-Click on the new Pre-Command 10 and edit, so that the new entry reads (Jump_TT) Jump to Title: 1. [Skips remaining still WS/FS menu and goes directly to movie.]
e. Save
6. Get VTS Sectors and Quit IFOedit.
7. Modify Special Features menu.
Using MenuEdit, open VTS_06_0.VOB.
a. In VobID 8, select buttons 2, 3, and 4. Delete; on the options screen, select “Hide and update” and “Jump to non deleted button.”
b. Repeat for VobID 9.
[This disables the buttons for “Music Videos,” “Promotional Spots,” and “DVD-ROM,” extras that aren’t included in this rip.]
8. Test & Burn.
Test with IFOedit (DVD-Play), PowerDVD, etc. Burn with what works for you. I’ve been having best luck with re-authored filesets lately by converting to an image file with ImgTools and burning with RecordNow Max.
