video is longer than audio

i seprated audio using virtual dub from a divx file to avoid the sync problem after the speration i found out that the wave file the audio fil is about 1:18:09 long and the video is 1:21:29
the original download movie file also has big audio sync problem
what can i do now
can anyone plze explain coz iam newbie
