View Full Version : Demux and mux again with Nandub ?

Hi !

I got a divx which plays just fine except that the sound level is too low. So I demuxed the audio part with Nandub, then I applied a gain to the .mp3 file (with mp3gain) and I finally re-muxed the audio and video streams.

But I got out of sync ! No way to correct the sync with Nandub !

I checked the audio stream length : it's the same before or after the use of mp3gain. (BTW the length displayed in Winamp is different if the track is named .mp3 or .wav for each track)

I was wondering if Nandub can correctly demux and re-mux audio tracks.

How can I synchronize my correct audio stream with the movie ?

It's quite amazing that NOBODY has ever experienced this kind of problem...
I'm gonna burn the divx with this low sound level :(

I was wondering if Nandub can correctly demux and re-mux audio tracks.Yes, it can.

However, the delay value might not have been applied during the ac3->mp3 transcoding process; instead it might have been applied during the muxing of the audio and the video streams in nandub, and in this case you will never know what it is if you don't have the source. My advice is burn it with the low sound level and pump up the volume (or try to fix it, which can really be a pita)! :D

I don't think it's just a question of delay. It has something to do with the total duration of the track. Because if I manage to synchronize, let's say the end of the movie, the begining is out of sync...
I tried to demux the mp3, then converted to wav with winamp then encoded with CBR 128k with lame. Nothing worked

you could try VirtualDubMod as well
