robot4rip ripped my subs... Great! Now what?

I've been trying to make sense of the Subtitle-guides, but I can't (I'm sorry, but my skull is a bit thick)...
I've got the .rar with the .sub in it, but where can I use it? Is it for selectable subs or subs encoded into the picture?

Anyone here care to give me a step-by-step example from an actual movie?

threre's nothing much you have to do, just name the files correctly...

if your movie is called

somthing.avi

all you need to do is put

something.idx
and
something.rar

in the same folder and play the avi.
if direct vobsub is installed (comes with the gknot packs) you can now switch subs on and off.

I found that out now... The first movie i did had forced subs, so I didn't see any difference when I turned subs on and off in BSPlayer. Now that I did one without forced subs, I found that I just needed the .idx and .rar. Thanks for the greatest quality-ripping-frontend EVER!
