I was reading mrbass' instantcopy tutorial which has just been updated and he states

"I don't recommend unchecking titles anymore. Strip them with dvdtoolbox or dvdshrink."

Is this because there are problems with IC7 doing stripping. My disks are Ritek G03 and I just assumed that these disks were not as good as others because they play on my standalone but on a friends he gets blocks etc...

Maybe this could be a problem with stripping using IC7??

Any help would be really appreciated

Regards

Ian

Ok let me clarify...I'm a main movie only person. So when I first started out with Instant Copy I would choose just menu (had no choice) and main movie only. It works in my pioneer 434 standalone dvd player. However, some movies my angle icon will appear for 15 seconds or so when it first starts playing. When I click on an item in the menu for an extra that isn't there it just returns to back to the same screen in 1/2 second..basically just flashes. Other dvd players (people report) it doesn't play at all or if it does the menu item not there it'll stop playing if the extra doesn't exist, etc.

Bottomline...with Instant Copy either do a 1:1 or main movie only stripping it first with dvdtoolbox or dvdshrink.

Anyway if it works for you then go for it. But I've been stripping it with either dvdtoolbox or dvdshrink for about a month and a half. I've had that warning in my guide since then but the screenshots didn't reflect that and advocated unchecking titles.

What if you want to, for exampel, remove the FBI warnings, and the credits in the end of the movie, will it be possible to strip them with a program, and then use IC7 to compress, and still keep menu and extras and all that ... ?
