Is there any chance that you can actualy make original VOB smaller WITHOUT "shrinking" the video or so... for example to CUT some parts or, even better: EXCLUDE audio streams you don't need... Is there any software that can allow you that.

IfoEdit, DVD-Shrink, DVD-Toolbox, DVD2One, DVD95Copy, DV... do you want me to go on? ;)

The correct answer is that yes there is a number of such programs, and depending on what you try to do, and the level of complexity you want, a different program may be the best for your specific situation.
If you look in the 'One click DVD backup solutions' (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=65) forum, you'll find help and hints on how to deal with most of these programs. IfoEdit (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=50) has it's own forum because while being the most useful application, it's also very complicated.

OK... So far I understand that IfoEdit is really powerfull but it seems I cannot find the exact answer to my question... I've looked thru most of the subjects in the forum... Let's say for example, mine VOB has:

0x24 - Subtitle - Espaņol / Normal Captions ...
0x25 - Subtitle - Deutsch / Normal Closed Captions ...
0x80 - Audio - AC3 / 6ch / 48kHz / DRC / English ...
0x81 - Audio - AC3 / 6ch / 48kHz / DRC / Deutsch ...
0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 / 720x576 (PAL) / 4:3 / LBA: 1 ...

Now, I say I don't need Deutsch audio stream and Espanol Subtitle stream... Is there any way that I can create new VOB from this one that includes ONLY english AUDIO, SUBTITLE and VIDEO stream... I figured out that you can re-adress them in the file but will this make actual VOB smaller ??? Second thing is cutting... I have a chapter and piece in it I want to chop off... How ???

First of all, the link I forgot in my last post, Doom9.org (http://www.doom9.org). If you choose Guides->DVD->DVD_backups you'll find a couple of good guides on the subject. The last part of the document is called 'partial backups-stripping unwanted extras' Read these and you'll find some interesting hints on how to remove languages.

Sure, it's very difficult to recommend a perfect one, yet a different program may be the best for your specific situation.
