DVDAuthor with ifoedit won't remux the ac3 stream

I have an .m2v file and an .AC3 file. When I try to use reauthor it remuxes the m2v but not the AC3. It lets me input the AC3 file but the delay box is greyed out. Any ideas?

Happened to me too once. You need to mark the actual audio stream in the list box. This is since you may have more than one audio stream, and want to specify different delays and languages for them. The same applies for specifying languages for subtitle streams.

Thanks... I highlighted the audio file and the delay box and language were not greyed out anymore. I click OK and it remuxes. The log doesn't say anything about the audio and when I play the VOB it has no audio. The IFO file doesn't specify any audio either. The ac3 files plays ok by itself in Zoom player so it should be ok. I wonder what is wrong...

i have same problem.
Iam trying to free some space for my dvd by downsampling the audio.
It seems i cant remux (ifoedit or rejig) 2 chan stereo ac3 streams, only 5.1:(
Since i want it 224, its to low on volume for 5.1, so its gotta be 2chan in my case.

when i author dvds in ac3-2ch was always with 192 but i don't knew that it works only in 192Kbs! :confused:
can someone confirm that ? thanks in advance!

I never had any problems authoring with IFOEDIT different low-speed ac3 (I usually do 128k 2ch for second language or director comments):
Bitrates I've used
192k 2 ch
128k 2 ch
96k 2 ch
Even more, I've succesfully authored a 1 ch ac3 64k (I did it only once)

yes, bitrate shouldnt matter.
Still cant manage it. I remember authoring dvd's from divx/xvid a while back ago without any problems.
Now i just strip all streams and downsample the audio and it wont go.
Tried using tmpegenc author aswell.
Btw. iam using ac3machine for downsampling.
