GKnot crashing when selecting more than 4-pass encode

When I try and encode a file using the DivX 5.0.5 Pro codec, if I select 5 or 6 passes in the Encoing Control Panel, then click "Add Job to Encoding Queue," it asks if I want to start encoding now. I click yes, and this message comes up:

Access violation at address 00405092 in module 'GordianKnot.exe'. Read of address FF000000.

How do I solve this problem? It only happens when selecting more than 4-pass encoding.

Those who have problems with particular pass (3d, 4th or 6th) would be pleased to know that I located the problem. will be ok in 0.28.2
