Pinnacle and reeldvd

Well i had this project to do. It was my kids video on dvd. Now i wanted motion menus and backgrounds and also wanted to put two individual sountracks. 1 original track and 2 music. Now my prob was reeldvd does not do menus like i wanted and PS8 does not do 2 sound tracks(i should be able to choose which one will play when it plays). Is there a proggy which does both?

If not can i first author the clip in PS8 with menu and chapter points and then demux it and author with reeldvd. If this is possible can you le tme know how, coz my main concern is the menu making setup in reeldvd.

for the ability to choose between the tracks in the menu, you really need a dvd authoring app that allows you to write command sequences, of which only scenarist and dvdmaestro (and the one below maestro too).

with all the consumer and prosumer apps which let you have a couple of audio tracks, you are going to have to tell the user to change it manually.

I have both but i also have reeldvd which does the same but thats not the problem.

I have already made a dvd with two audio tracks and am switching between my kids ga-ga and music on the disc.

Thats not the prob. I need to two audio tracks like maestro does but also need motion menus and backgrounds. I cant do the latter in dvd maestro or reeldvd, and i cant do two audio tracks in PS8 which combines the audio tracks in the output.

So the question is, is there a way i can do it by first authoring it in Ps8 and do menus and stuff and then reauthor it in reeldvd/meastro. If i do this do the chapter points get stuffed up and the menu sequence.... run as per normal(is there a way to do this). If not do you know of any app that will do all this.

Well, in principle yes, you could demux a Studio project and reauthor it in Maestro or Impression.

I presume Studio is the only NLE you have at the moment? There are many alternatives for creating Picture In Picture video (PIP) video streams (including Adobe After Effects)...

Regarding re-authoring navigation of the demuxed project, yes, you would need to reauthor this in Impression or Maestro, but this can be done extremely easily and rapidly in Maestro, so it's nothing to worry about.

Since you say it can be done, can you enlighten me as to how. SAy i author a clip eg
Menu+(CLip+chapter points)
Demux video
Audio
Before i import this entire clip in maestro do i have to cut the menu out? I can point power on play menu, but how do i do the chapter points as per my menu and how do i link it so as to play the chapter as per selection. I know how to add another audio track in reeldvd. I have not yet used maestro, was wondering if you could instruct me in reeldvd coz i have been using it for two weeks...
