Hi guys...
I have a few avi files that are ac3 audio encoded. I'm unable to play them back on one of my PCs that doesn't have the AC3 DirectShow Filter. However, it is able to play VOB files that are DD/DTS encoded, by passing the encoded stream to an external decoder to decode, much like playing a DVD with PowerDVD/WinDVD/etc.
On my main PC I have the AC3 DirectShow Filter installed and it works. However, the AC3 DirectShow Filter and the AC3 codec will decode it right? That's not what I wanna do, I want to be able to pass the undecoded AC3 stream out via S/PDIF. Is that possible with avi files(divx/ac3 encoded)
