I have a Divx movie that i wanna convert to dvdr. But im not sure how i would put the subtrack in as its a .srt and i have a .txt file. Both are sub tracks,i used the txt one when i played it on my pc.
So how would i go about adding this in ??
Also when encoding the divx to mpeg2 would it be a good idea to encode to 352 x 240 as the res or 720 x 480.

if you have the text and the timecodes, maestro (and scenarist i think) can create all the subtitles for you by just importing the text subtitle file, check the program docs of the layout of the file.

you can use 352x240, or 352x480 or 720x480 (all of those are played back to the aspect ratio of either 4:3 or 16:9, depending what the flag is set on the VTS), the best option is to not to scaled it down, cause you will lose quality, and dont scale it up much, cause you arent going to gain anything.
if you have a 720x405 clip, then letterboxxing it out to 720x480 is fine, and scaling up 600xyyy clips to 720x480 is generally fine too, but ultimately its up to you.
