View Full Version : Pulldown in DVD2DVDR
Did anyone try Film Force checked and pulldown 2:3 unchecked in the CCE settings of DVD2DVDR? What are possible errors with these options? I tried one movie with Force Film checked and Pulldown 2:3 unchecked (other options set as in Bitrate Viewer). It played fine with PowerDVD and Zoom player, but have problems with skipping when i tried to play it with Real Player.

I tried all the combinations and it still can be unpredictable. I don't know if there is a magic formula. The flags are not consistently set by the program. The true test is how it plays in your standalone DVD players.

When I tried it (I actually did several times), it seemed to be the answer at first... but then I noticed that any fast motion was considerably blurred. To confirm this I did back-to-back comparisons with the original and compared it scene for scene... please give it a try and tell me what you think.
Unfortunately i don't have DVD player, only software to test. I tried the NTSC DVD(7.00 GB) with IFoEdit in DVD2DVDR, no problem with subtitles, sound and frames are not "wackled" when i use step forward option in PowerDVD. Just wondering if there are any other problems which i am not aware of.
Are there any other software(freeware) which i can use to test? I have done only three movies up till now, and dont have any problems except the one, when try to move forward. In Real Player when i try to move forward i finish up with still image but still can hear the sound.

Oh I did the comparisons in Zoomplayer. I have a home theater that utilizes a large 114" wide screen that is 'fed' by my HTPC (home theater personal computer). My Sony standalone upstairs uses a 27" trinitron for display... which really isn't good enough to use to observe the minor flaws in movies. Besides we rarely ever watch anything on it anymore... I like to think of it more as a back-up.
