GK0.28 + XVID = Trim Option Grayed Out?

Just like what my subject says -- I'm using GK0.28 with XVID and trying to turn an NTSC DVD (so I'm doing IVTC). I set CreditsStart, but I can't get the Trim Option -- it's grayed out. If I choose DIVX5 as the codec, I get the option...am doing something wrong? Thanks...

xvid has internal credits handling so only one avisynth has to be created and it's only logic that this option is greyed out... there's no need to encode credits separately.
The question has been asked just yesterday by the way but since my guide incorrectly stated that you should use the trim option I'll take this one on me. Be wary of rule1 though..
