I use TMPG 2.66, but it has trouble with Avisynth 2.51 (not supported?). It works with Avisynth 2.08 though. Since Avisynth 2.51 increase the speed of CCE quite a bit, I would like to know if I can make it work with TMPG. Thanks!

I only posted it twice because I did not know which forum is the best fit for this question. The question is related to TMPG, and I also assume it is a basic question regarding dvd2svcd, so what is wrong with that? I am against reckless cross posting, but that is not the case here. The rules should be reasonable.

hi canoner,:)
please see my doubt:
are you using TMPG 2.66?
i don't know this version.
for me the last is the 2.511.51.160(25 April 2003)
i got some problems using
avisynth 2.51 with TMPG too.:(

btw, I noticed (with an older version of DVD2SVCD) that if you select TMPGEnc the line:
ConvertToRGB()
is added to your script (don't know what the most recent version does?). In general (maybe not here), this can cause problems because it converts to RGB32 instead of RGB24. It is better to change that line into
ConvertToRGB24()

My bad. The TPMG is v2.51, the CCE I use is 2.66. I somehow got it wrong.
Can you tell me in more detail how to change the script before I hit "rip and convert".
try one of this 2 ways canoner,you can choose:
first way:
edit the dvd2svcd.ini in the default folder
of the program,change what you need
in the script and save.
or the second way:
tick "Edit as part of Video encode" in the
"frameserver" tab and
before the program call the encoder,
he will show you the script.
change what you need,save and hit ok.
then dvd2svcd do the job!
(with exelent result of course)
;)

Forgive my ignorance on editing script, here is my dvdsvcd.ini after selecting TMPG and avisynth 2.51. Where should I add that line and what that line should say exactly? Thanks

Wouldn't it be better to just use edit script? You would not want to feed CCE or ProCorder RGB24. I guess doing it like the above would make sense if you only use TMPG.
Anyway, I had thought D2S added the ConvertToRGB24 statement, but I checked and it did not and this causes me some confusion as TMPG opened the avisyth 2.51 script with no problems. I did not think TMPG would as a 2.51 script outputs YV12. If you have Divx installed it will act as a handler to convert YV12 for TMPG, but when I renamed the divx.dll TMPG would still open the 2.51 script. Hmm, maybe a reboot was in order. Next time I do I'll recheck. Hmm, :confused:

That’s funny because TMPG has always crashed on me to without adding the “Convert” line since DVD2SVCD didn’t, but after my first post to this thread I tested it again and TMPG didn’t crash. I thought I was losing my mind and edited my post to ignore what I had said. Then just now reading your post in regards to DivX, I had remembered that I just installed DivX on my PC’s not to long ago. :)

Maybe you have other YV12 codecs (ffvfw, XviD) installed?
