While trying to convert using PVAStrumento after about 30 secs. I keep getting the "illegal stream" message then the program shuts down.

I am using dvd2svcd v 1.1.3 build 2 and PVAS version 2.0.29

Ihave also tried all other PVAS versions from 2.0.23a and up, without success

Perhaps somebody has an idea that can help me figure out what is going wrong.

Thanks in advance.

Here is the log file copy:

you can try ds.jar instead of pvastrumento to demux it. maybe that works.
i have sometimes also streams that cannot be demuxed with both programs. just record it again.

Hi Zhnujm

Thanks for the advice. I would like to give ds.jar a try but every link I have come across is dead.

Perhaps you or someone else could steer me in the right direction to download this program.

the second link should work.
the author discontinued his work so theres no offical download place anymore. especially bad because pvastrumento doesnt support ac3 yet.

ok, thanks. I got the program and demuxed the file. Now I have got an .mpv file and I don't know what to do to get dvd2svcd to start from that point on. (change the log?) I am a rookie, I know but could you please give me some help?

tyvm once again

good question, i never used dvd2svcd.
as quick and dirty help i would recommend you to let ds.jar create a new pva file instead of demux the file to .mpv + .mpa so you can start again with a pva file in dvd2svcd. (assuming the new created pva file dont crash pvastrumento again)
