Newbie in need of serious help!!!

I just want to share a very wierd thing that happened to me ,I purchased instant copy and downloaded dvd decryptor and i burned the first dvd called undisputed without a hitch,it wrote to 4.7 dvd and everything.Then when I went to do the untouchables i got royally screwed the instant copy totaly went crazy on me froze and crashed everytime after and im wondering did i miss something or can someone please direct me to a thread to get the stuff I need or stuff I missed .Please any help will be apprieciated( I used dvd decryptor and instant copy for undisputed)the first time and I feel like an idiot now because I cant get this damn thing to work so please HELP!!!!

you need to be more detailed in your description as to how you went about doing it. Did you rip ALL Files (CTRL-A) in dvddecrypter 3.1.5.0? Did you uncheck any titles, etc. Too little info to go on.

First of all, louthewiz, calm down...you'll get help when you provide more information. In a similar classic example, just saying your computer worked yesterday and now today it doesn't work doesn't really help us with figuring out your problem. Can you enlighten us? ;)

Im sorry about not being more thorough well let me try to explain first my system is running windows 98se i have an athlon1.8xp chip and have 256 ram memory. The first time i ripped a movie I used dvd decryptor and instant copy the instant copy was version 7a and the dvd decryptor is the latest one that I downloaded from this site.I was able to make a copy of Undisputed with no problems burned it to 1 disc and all, now I deleted the movie from my hd and tried to rip The Untouchables dvd dvd decryptor worked fine now after I tried to use instant copy to burn the movie from my hard drive the instant copy froze when it was trying to check the quality of the video. Now I got the how to from reading the forums at this site and i followed all the info step by step on the second movie and it failed at the point i described before,and that's the problem that I have and I was wondering if you guys would be so kind to help in anyway I would be in your debt.And finally am I missing something or an update or some thing also I wrote to pinnacle and they told me to upgrade to 7.2 and I havent done anything else yet because I was waiting for some help from your forums and I also had my hd cleaned and reinstalled windows .

There was a bug in 3.1.5.0 that caused quite a few problems, sounds like you might be suffering from it as well. Please copy the movie again using the now fixed version (3.1.6.0 -> dvddecrypter.com) and see if you still get that error with IC7.

You never answered my question. Did you rip ALL files? Also there's a new 3.1.6.0 version of DVDDecrypter out.

Also uncheck "Online Transcoding Database" or in HiddenSettings Editor uncheck "use internet".

yes I ripped all files and i got the update for dvd decryptor and it still won't work .Also Im ready to shread and chuck this lousy instant copy crap program , is there any other thing I can purchase to back up dvds that does not have any problems like this please HELP ME !!!!!:scared:

I also wanted to add that when it comes to my computer that I am all thumbs so if there is a how to directory it will be a great help!! P.S. I never had trouble like this in my life with anything and thats the truth.......:angry:

you could also try dvdshrink, it's even free. there are plenty of good backup guides here on doom9 -> guides -> DVD -> backup

My problem is not with decryptor its with instant copy freezing on me when it tries to convert dvd image to dvd...:mad:
