Hi. I just got a few XCD BIN files but I don't actually want to burn it to disk, I don't have much use for the XCD format because I have a DVD-R burner. I am aware that there are utilities which let me extract the DAT file from an already burnt XCD CD but how about extracting the DAT file from the BIN archive itself? I've tried the usual methods, WinRAR 3, and certian other VCD imaging tools, but they are all looking for SVCDs and VCDs not XCDs. Am I screwed? Do I have to burn first?

IsoBuster (http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/) is nice because there are no device drivers to install. It seems to work on most CD image types too.

Thanks for the response guys! I don't like DT much, and I wish I'd known about IB before I burnt the XCDs. But it's great for next time!

there are also other tools for managing iso files (winso comes to mind).
you can always use a reserved cd-rw media for the task though ;)
You can even use my updated ISO plugin for Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=545) with M2F2 support ;)
