Hi,
I've got this problem that in my eyes just doesn't make sense. I've encoded A WHOLE LOT of movies with the koepie 05042003 xvid codec, quality was always good. But recently someone openend it and said video was choppy, it was like it skipped frames or rewind one frame and go further 2 frames. I found this strange, so I formatted my computer and installed the stable build (koepie 04012002). Now all my rips made with the 05042003 codec were choppy!
I thought it was because those people weren't using the new 05042003 codec, but then a guy which used "XviD-25112002-1 _ALPHA_ Release" said he didn't have problems at all !
So you probably understand my confusion of this.
Is there some incompatibilty with the two codecs or is it my settings I use for XviD ?
SETTINGS I use:
2 pass - 1st pass:
GLOBAL TAB:
Motion search precision: 6-Ultra High
Quantization type: H.263
FourCC used: XVID
Maximum I-frame interval: 300
Minimum I-frame interval: 1
Nothing checked on
Maximum B-frames: 3
B-frame quantizer ratio (%): 150
B-frame quantizer offset: 100
B-frame treshold: 0
DX50 B-VOP Compatibily checked on
2 pass - 2nd pass:
GLOBAL TAB:
All the same only Quantization type: New Modulated HQ
Quantization Tab:
Min I-frame quantizer: 2
Max I-frame quantizer: 6
Min P-frame quantizer: 2
Min P-frame quantizer: 6
I really do hope you can help me, or at least give me a professionel opinion of this problem
So I thank you in advance...
