file offset problem in 2.66.01.07

With the newer versions od cce the goal posts seem to have been moved

THe timecode as stated in the cce proper guide should not be set to
00:00:00:00 as this now means something special in cce.

On doing this I now have a m2v file that have a file offset of 01:00:00:00 which means that when I come to insert the subs in maestro the first set of subs that are inserted are
0741 01:00:06:10 01:00:12:00 right at the begining of the movie

I am to say the least a little stumped

I saw that post but missed the point of it.

Its all clear now added 01:00:00:00 to the subs and added them that way before I realised what to do. (already added the chapters by hand it took me an age there are 60)

Anyway why won't CCe allow 00:00:00:00 any more ?

It has been in the CCE manual forever that one should not use 00:00:00:00 because it has a "special meaning" to CCE. However, I've encoded dozens of DVDs with that setting and never had any problem.

I thought that statement in the manual was funny, 00:00:00:00 is something special to CCE. Well what is so special and why can't we use it. I have not had any problems so far using 00:00:00:00.

I have always used 2.5 with no problems with the setting 00:00:00:00
this was the first I did with 2.66.01.07 and it came up with this file offset problem when set to the normal setting of 00........

It could be a problem with Maestro. I use CCE 2.67 Basic and do not have this problem with other authoring programs.

I also used 2.66 and 2.67 with setting 00:00:00 with no problems other than if you check pulldown in CCE it never did anything. Then someone pointed out that you need to keep the timecode the way its set to get pulldown to work and he was right. I now leave it as 01:00:00 and have had no problems bringing the video into Maestro and pulldown works great.
