Where to get WMV9 standalone installer ?

Hello !

Is there any way to get the wmv 9 codec (only playback needed, no encoding; I just want to be able to see some clips made with wmv9) other than downloading and installing the WMPlayer 9 ?

The automatic update does not work for me, as I have 6.4 and 7.0, and the automatic update only work with 7.2 o(or 8.0 ?) or higher, and if I have to install a new player anyway, I could as well install WMP 9 to begin with .

Does anyone know if there is a single codec installer package for wmv9, and if so, where I might be getting it ?

I don't wanna install WMP9 ... sniffs ...

Well, I should have known it .

IT professionals only installation . Bleah ...

Like always, MS tries to sell every new *** they make . At least, downloading the codecs separately IS possible after finding it hidden .

Seems like this post didnt get too much attention anyway, so finding the thing myself was probably best .
