Hi-

First, your CD burner has to support overburning, and your media has to have extra space or you'll make a coaster. Then in Nero, go File-Preferences-Expert Features, and then check the box "Enable overburning 'Disc at once' burning". And when the time comes to burn, you have to set it for Disc At Once (DAO). It'll momentarily tell you not enough space, but then up pops the new box to allow you to overburn. These things vary among the different versions. That's the way it is with mine (5.5.6.9-old already).
