I just installed 0.28 final and I now get an audio sync error at the end of the movie when using 1x vbr mp3. When encoding the audio I choose 128 constant bitrate. Is this a bug or should I use another setting?

Known problems in Gknot 0.28 final (both audio related):

1)Audio-bitrates below 128 (in lame) can cause sync-problems (and sound terrible), because lame is automatically downsampling to 32 or even 22kHz. i highly recommend to use 128 or 160 and nothing else. to avoid downsampling you have to add "--resample 48" to your lame commandline options if you encode at low bitrates.

2)If you use CBR mp3 you might get your sound out of synch towards the end of a movie. This will only be resolved when VirtualDubMod 1.5.x is released (GK 0.28.1 will be relesed for that). In the meantime you can use AviMux_GUI to mux CBR mp3 in case you have problems.

Your question.;)

Yes but I was using VBR MP3 not CBR and I encoded at a constant 128 bitrate not below. Anyway is the bug present in RC aswell or just the final version?

CBR = Constant Bit Rate, so if you are saying that you used constant 128 bit rate then this means that you used CBR which means that you have to use AviMux GUI :)

Doh! Sorry I didn't know that :)

So I should just use custom mp3 settings instead if I want the bitrate at 128 or can I use the 128 Average birate option?

What are some good parameters to use?
