slowness

my housemate was trying the latest gordianknot a few days ago and once while encoding it was using up ~50% of the cpu time this could possibly explain the problems a few people have been having with slow encodes.

Sorry i can't give you any more details atm if i manage it track down exactly when it happens ill post again.

hmmm, my CPU time while encoding is around 98%

always has been, and that includes dozens of different methods of encoding.
