There have always been these sub-species of semi-human, mentally challenged individuals on the earth. I am sorry to hear an encounter with one of these has had this effect on you and forced your self removing from the DVDRhelp forum. The problem is, most of the people I have seen on the forum are polite and a bit more intelligence than this troglodyte. I also will not, nor can I defend Baldric’s decision to not remove the creature permanently but the fact of the matter is these individuals have a way of shriveling up and perishing on their own. My father told me a long time ago, some thing are better left to their own demise and some battles must be fought. I am sure in short order ElQueso2 will crawl back in his dark hole to lick his wounds and move on to a more simple, [properly medicated] existence. The meek shall inherit the earth, only because worriers fight for them, sometimes it is a must to fight for right and not let a few bad apples spoil the whole barrel!!

Sorry about the over use of cliché.

In a hundred years no one will remember any of this. [Also told to me by my father]

he has actually been banned cos I PM'd Baldrick about it asking if he'd been banned, it's just cos it still said he was a member and not Banned under his name I was a bit peeved

I also had a run in with jarvis1781 (I LOVE CAPS) HERE (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=154505) that also got that thread locked just recently :D

so two numbnuts in 2 days got me narked I guess cos I just can't be ar$ed with people like that cos it just shows total lack of intelligence on both parts

so that's why I modded my original post here again cos it was a bit harsh cos they did do the right thing and ban him

I enjoy the odd disagreement but they both took it a bit too far for me and I'd rather share my knowledge with people who will appreciate it :)

I've had a couple of disagreements on this forum that have actually ended up with happy endings but never anything like that for something as trivial as that

thanks for the reply anyway doggiedaddy

p.s. I forgot I can change the thread titles also now so I guess I will

p.p.s. cool site by the way

Dvdrhelp has alot of forum users. There's bound to be a few unstable ones, you just happen to have bad luck it seems. Baldrick is a good guy, if someone deserves to be banned he takes care of it, as he did in this case.

And don't hold it against dvdrhelp either. That guy just as easily could have registered on this forum instead.

You can't take anything on DVDRHelp seriously :sly: especially not the tons of newbs and tards like that guy.

Speaking of which, I've been having run-ins with a guy on animemusicvideos.org's forum. A loser under the handle The Mad Hatter. He's infamous for being a retard on usenet, so the name might sound familiar to some of you. Anyway, I originally got into debate with him because he was claiming Mpeg 4 couldn't do anything above 720kbps that Mpeg 1 can't do and that Mpeg 1 was better than 4 at those bitrates. The debate turned into a pretty big laming session, and it got to the point where - here's the funny part - he mentioned that doom9 was to encoding what script kiddies are to hacking - and then referenced rec.video.desktop as the place where real experts are. The best part about that is, rec.video is just a bunch of newbs asking about capture cards and svcds :p
reminded me of dvdrhelp. Anyway, needless to say he himself knows nothing about encoding, has only ever used msmpeg4v2 and divx 5.02 as far as mpeg 4 codecs go, and here are some quotes just for the fun of it:
"Now this moron thinks DvX3.11 supports multiple passes, VBR encoding, etc, etc... If it did, we wouldn't even NEED DivX5 you moron."
"I assume I can also use nonlinear encoding?" - in response to my codec comparison challege. Of course nonlinear encoding is already used by mpeg encoders :|
"Mpeg 1 is optmized for 3mbps and 640x480"

Obviously I compared his mpeg1 encode with some mpeg 4 codecs and he was wrong :| I have yet to break the news to him and still have to do frame grabs and psnr and stuff.

BTW, I have an honest inquiry about this (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=13860&highlight=) thread. He claims to be making a lossless codec capable of 250-500kbps data rates @ 640x480 (which is obvious crap) but does the concept have any merit? o.O

Ok. What I really don't like is badmouthing one board or it's members on another board (affiliated or not)!

If you have a problem with some board think you can recommand something good then PM the Admin, the appropriate moderator, but please do not post on another board about it!

Thanks.

I didn't liked it when several people whined on VCDHelp (back then) etc. about this board, I'm sure they don't like it when others whine about their board on ours.

Don't waste our time with such things.

Cheers,

Mijo.
