powerdvd problem

hey there
i have been using powerdvd 4.0 for quite a qhile now without any problems. a short while ago i've acquired the powerdvd4 delux edition so i can playback dts sountracks...
anyway... happy to have the new improved software i first deinstalled the old one and then installed the deluxe edition. somehow it doesn't work though. no matter what i load i always get an 'internal error'
so i said f** it and wanted to simply uninstall the deluxe edition and reinstall the old one but here's the catch... when i start the setup it fails with an 'unknown error' after a few seconds (i guess during the loading process)
anybody got any ideas as to why this happens?

hmmm. Well something to try is to clean your temp directory, search in the registry for powerdvd keys and delete them.
