I've tried to use GKnot 0.28 beta 6 to encode a 2 CD movie. It seems that it will use 10 HOURS!!!

That's a nice speed and very possible. But if you don't tell us which settings you've used there's no way we can tell you if the speed is correct or not.

Most importantly: Computer, lenght of movie and if you added any denoisers or other filters. Also, 10 hours for 1 pass or 2?
