I am planing to write a tool which, given a set of dvd complaint elementry streams, can multiplex to vobs and produce the relevent ifos and so the whole VIDEO_TS dir. I don't want anything fancy just the absolute minimum to achive a compliant DVD.
So, has anyone got any pointers? Any tips? Any examples!!? Before I go off on the quest.
Thanks

If you find any info, then please let me know. I have been working a bit with vob files. Mainly demuxing, but remuxing is another story. I think you need to rebuild the 90 khz timer that are in an vob file and I don't know about the sectors. Normally a vobfile is 2048 byte sectors, but I don't know how to remux it, so you can rebuild these sectors in way that the audio, subs and video vil be in sync.
But If anyone got any dokumentation about this then please let us know.???
IFOedit have a DVD authority tool, so there must be some information about it.

I just noticed the link to my AOL page. That page will automatically forward you to www.mpucoder.com/dvd/index.html
Now that I have reliable servers I've outgrown the need for AOL. Anyone with a link to MPUCoder pages on AOL, please change them, I don't know how much longer I'll keep AOL.

i dont know if this will be of much use but may be worth looking at.

also libavformat (as used in ffmpeg) supports vob muxxing and demuxxing.
