I'm using dvd2svcd version 1.1.3 build 2. I think that this new version have the AviSynth script file cq test. i dont knot what these are, what are they for? are they use for testing to see if the files are good?is there a way to turn it off because it waste about 10 mins for each and there are 8 test files which mean it add over 1 hr extra to the whole process. i installed version 2.05 ( i think) for the avisynth when it ask during dvd2svcd installation process. is there a different between 2.05 and 2.08? Since i'm posting i just want to ask which is better cinema craft encoder or Tmpgenc plus? also what about canopus procoder? thanks.

Please respect the forum rules, when posting.
1) Donīt use four '?' in row in your title to draw attention.
2) Donīt ask whatīs best.

DVD2SVCD makes the test files to claculate the optimum CQ - value. To get rid of the testing, use either CBR, 2 pass VBR or CCE. Though itīs not allowed, to ask whatīs best, the general opinion is:

-use TMPGEnc for VCD
-use CCE for SVCD
-use Canopus for your captures
