Hi, I've got a divx movie but the audio is slightly out of sync. The fps is 23.976 and the audio is mpeg3 115kBit/s 48,000Hz stereo.
Ive got ulead video studio6 and cool edit pro2.
Is there anyway to fix the problem with these two programs. And is it better to fix it in divx format or mpeg format?
Also when i edit a part out of the movie, the audio goes way out of sync, so i rip the audio out with cooledit and reinsert it into the music track but videostudio doesnt allow me to choose mp3 audio if i wanna re-encode it into divx, and the file goes over 1gig.
Im new to this so any help will be appreciated(i hope this is the right place to post).
thx.
:)

Hi-

Here's Doom9's VDub Procedures Guide (http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm). You should probably use Nandub or VDubMod for this. If it's asynch by the same amount all the way through, it's easy to fix by adjusting the delay. If it's progressively asynch (starts out fine, but gets worse as the movie goes along), it's a bit trickier. The VDub Procedures Guide explains how to adjust the video framerate to get it back in synch. But if you're familiar with CoolEdit, you can adjust the audio speed in Time/Pitch-Stretch to get it right.

None of the methods requires reencoding the video.
