InstantCopy better quality at low file size

Sorry if someone has already posted my findings:
I like to backup 2 DVDs(movie only)on one DVD+R. I save money that way, until DVD+Rs cost a dollar a piece. I found InstantCopy gives the best quality when you set a 2 hour movie to a low size of 2.15GB, compared to DVD2One and DVD Shrink. With DVD2One and DVD Shrink, the resulting video comes out all blocky. With InstantCopy on the same 1hr and 52min movie, it had no blocks but was a little grainer than the original. The grainyness looks a thousand times better than moving blocks all over the screen. Plus, when played back on a 4:3 TV, you don't even notice it. It may not be as fast but I think they are using a better algorithm, when it comes to quality. I know most people probably don't think so, but that is my opinion.

IC's algo might be better, but needs 10x so much time.
I can easily encode any main movie and one audio stream with level 1,2 or 3 and they all give excellent results with DVDShrink.

Now if you use level 8 to squeeze two movies on one DVD-R ... that's a different story :rolleyes:

With blanks costing ~2$ is it really worth to save 1$ and go for cheap quality? Also next time take a look at your power bill, the encoding doesn't come for free ;)
