Becuase the topic is closed I'm posting this here in hope of some help!
After reading this topic on ITU-R BT.601 would it be right to assume the following:
If I’m encoding an ITU compliant DVD source to be watched on a (1:1) screen like a monitor I should have the ITU-R BT.601 ticked under options on GKnot to have the correct Aspect Ratio.
But if plan to watch the new encoding on a TV using an ITU compliant player I shouldn’t use the ITU-R BT.601 option in GKnot, but do a normal 16:9 or 4:3 and allow the Player to do the ITU correction.
Would this be correct???
Cheers!
