Sorry guys, but this is probably a pure newbie-question, but anyway here goes: I recently got hold of a movie-file, but itīs called
****SVCD.bin
How do I handle a bin file, where the result at the end should be
VCD? Can anyone help, I would very much appreciate it. Best regards
to you all. This is an awsome site.

if it's actually a *.bin file, without the *.cue file, it probility can't be burn, if the extension was rename to .bin (for some reaon), try changing it to avi, mpg, rm, ogg, mov, or whatever video extension you can think of.

you could also ask the guy where you got it from, for some help.

I think, you can extract the mpeg file from the .bin with VCDEasy and author the VCD with the same application. Hope this helps.

hearboydk2: Abond is correct however you can make your own .cue file containing the following in notepad:

FILE "****SVCD.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:06:00

and burn with any number of burning programs(e.g Alcohol 120%, CDRWin...)

If you just wanted to watch the movie without burning to CDR then Alcohol 120% will let you mount the .cue/.bin image and you can watch with WinDVD or whatever.

Thanks, guys, and specially Abond. As a newbie I never considered
VCDEasy, and though I couldnīt get a hold of 1.1.5,(had to settle for
1.1.4) and just playing around with the buttons without reading any
guide, it worked and even created the cue-file on itīs own, so now
Iīm the happy owner of VCD that works.:D :D :D :D :D :D
Hope, one day to be able to give as good advice to newbies as you all
do.
YOU ARE TOO COOL. Thanks again.
