I am encoding some files that I converted from .mov to huffyuv. The original .mov must have been 15.005 frames per sec. The converted huffyuv files are also 15.005 fps and they play fine. I cconverted to xvid and they are also 15fps, and they play fine too. Now if I go in and change the frame rate myself, to say 10 fps, when I convert to xvid the files won't play. If I use huffyuv with 10 fps they play, but not xvid. Anybody know haw to fix this. I am encoding these files with very low bitrate because thay are just screen capture videos, and I want to see if a lower bitrate will help the compression.

Thanks in advance.

I once again get to prove what an idiot I am. I solved my own problem. I was actually wanting to use frame decimation, because lowering the framerate does not decreas the number of frames that will be stored in the new file, it will just determine the play rate.
