View Full Version : 2.5 and limiter()

I have just started to use Avisynth 2.51 for my encodes instead of 2.07, mainly for the speed increase, and I came across a thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?threadid=42930&highlight=limiter) where sh0dan said to always end your 2.5 scripts with limiter().
That seemed like a pretty definitive statement, and no caveats, but is the only place I've seen that mentioned. Still I have started to add that with my DivX encodes.

What I was wondering is, with DVD2SVCD, should I edit the avs script and add limiter() for all svcd encodes also? I haven't used 2.5 with DVD2SVCD yet, but would sure appreciate any speed increase and want to get it right first time (if that's possible :) .)

Thanks
Jeff

Yes, because SVCD is also in YV12.
