Alternate version of the Matrix? What is this?

In the most recent Entertainment Weekly they said there was an alternate version of the Matrix out that if you were in college you should know what they are talking about.

I am not in college so what are they talking about?

It must be some kind of edit somebody did, but this is the first time I have heard of it.

I don't really care to see it. I only want to know what it is.

Anyone know what they are talking about?

No they have a whole section covering that and BTW the ones I have seen so far are really cool and free. They have 4 on their website now.

The way they put it was like it was like a nude edit or something.
