I been having some trouble where BBmpeg crasches att startup when I use titelpicure on my svcd´s. Using dvd2svcd 1.1.3b2. Trying to solve that mysterium in this thread:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51064&perpage=20&pagenumber=2

The only solution i´ve tried that seems works sofar is to force muxrate in BBmpeg. Now my problem is what value I should use.
I was trying to ges but only got tons of under an overflows
How do ido to calculate a proper value?
Could I use the value calculated with bitratecalculator like Bearson´s?

Really sorry if I have slightly broke the rule of crossposting but I thought bitratcalculation was to of topic in my other thread.

There is no calculator that I know of.

There is a formula, but it was never right for me and I have forgotten it.

Try a search, if you hadn't already, in the SVCD forum. I have seen the formula written a few times before, but never in the DVD2SVCD forum and not lately.

I'm not sure why it is discouraged, but I use "0" as my force muxrate in bbMPEG, and it works, universally for me.

0 works well for SVCD, but is inconsistent for VCD.

Its not working with the automatic value 0, bbMPEG crasches at startup when using titelpics. That wy I need to know if there is a formula or a program to calculate it for me.
