Hi, I'm putting an .avi on a cd and would like to know if there is something I can do so it autoplays when the cd is inserted in the drive? I'm using BSPlayer for playback.

Or if you're using Windows, set up your CD drive to autoplay and set BSPlayer as the default player for AVI files.

By autoplay you mean "auto insert notification"? 'cause that's how I've set it, and BSPlayer is already the default player, still, it doesn't autoplay upon insertion.

It's been a while since I tried this stuff, but I know for a fact that if you are using BSPlayer and you have auto-insert notification turned on, you can put the BSPlayer exe and a BSPlayer .ini file directly in the root of the cd...sorry I don't have anything more specific, I think you can search this forum to find what the ini file needs to look like.

What, exactly, do you want to do?

Do you mean you want a player application on the disc or do you mean you want to auto-start a file to use the default player for that file type?

If you mean the later, check out this page:

The really nice thing about this system is it works for all Windoze platforms, not just 9x-base.

Yes, I think this is what I was looking for, I'll give it a try
