Hi
I am having various probs with the above and DC10 Plus

I am capturing from VCR (vhs tapes)

amd 2000
512 ram
I can only connect using video lead ...not S Video
and capturing in composite

I have quite a few dropped frames

I have problems with settings for MPEG etc
also I can only Create discs successfully with Custom setuo


Can any experienced user give me the proper set-up to use


I have had burn failures at quite a way through


I would dump the above but the cost factor

Is there a better capture/mpeg/burn prog recomended

Hi,

I am not an expert, but IMO you should try another software like VirtualDub sync, VirtualVCR... You should also capture lossless with Huffyuv Codec or nearly lossless with an MJPEG Codec and encode to mpeg afterwards, using VDub Filtering and Frameserver to tmpeg / cce or Avisynth as a frameserver.

This will result in better quality than direct mpeg(2) caps, and the best: Most of the programs are free software.
