View Full Version : IC - List out of bounds?

I ripped Bring it On and only removed two audio tracks with Ifoedit. It has 4 tracks in the main movie. I copied the resulting .VOB files back into the VIDEO_TS folder after renaming them to the proper VTS set.
When I try to run IC on the result to compress it, I get "List out of bounds" error immediately.
Any ideas?

You did something wrong in IfoEdit.
Rerip with DVDDecrypter in File mode, and let any of the "one click programs" do the dirty work for you.

IC doesn't remove audio tracks or titles correctly. You should always use Ifoedit instead.
Anyone have any ideas of what made IC throw up, or how to fix that?

IC removes audio/subs correctly now, so it's pointless removing them first
anyway what was the number after the 'List Index out of Bounds (?)' as each number represents an individual error

I did not know that. 7.02 fixes that?
Ifoedit for removing VOB's and titles though, right?
Thanks,
Robert

look at what you have stripped cos you did something wrong
you have 1 error out of bounds :). It's referring to something that is beyond the Ending Sector. Sometimes Get VTS sectors fixes this but it may not
the best thing to do when stripping is to load IC after every VTS strip, so you know you ain't done the wrong thing
if you have an error at least you can go back one step cos you should backup your IFO's after every step

Now I have read the thread that says this is due to the users error... However IC 7.02 had no issues... I am getting this on movies after I updated to IC 7.1.1
These are movies I already did with IC 7.02 and burned and watched on three dvd players without issue. But the NEW IC 7.1.1 is barking about everything...
Any Ideas...?
UPDATE: My problem comes from stripping unwanted stuff. What I have always done successfully is to use IFOEDIT to delete video segments in their individual VOB IDs/CELLs. Instead of just telling IFOEDIT to bypass the Warning Screen I will ALSO remove the ID containing the unwanted data to create space. I leave the PGC intact in the VTS so structure is not damaged. This has served me well for a year. However, the NEW version of InstantCopy 7.1.1 is objecting to the stripping of these IDs.
ANY IDEAS...?

@geffroman
I have the same problem. Removing one VOD ID that i don't want(music videos, previews..) with version 7.02 had no problems, but with th new update i have. :(
If you find the answer, please tell me... :)

My temporary solution is this...
Use DVD Squeeze on those IDs to STILL MODE. This only solves issues where IDs are the only thing in the VTS set you want to remove for space.
Then use IC 7.1.1... You can delete the ID if need be after IC is done.
IC seems to have it's own issues regarding sizing that I have not yet played with much... Even when it undersizes a movie the quality is still better then DVD2One, DVD95Copy and Squeeze.

Then I guess you enjoy Warning Screens and Hollywood Studio Intros and Previews before each movie and staring at PG-13 logos.

I guess someone here didn't follow the link. DVDSqueeze is (how shall we put this to avoid legal action?) a hacked version of the freeware program DVDShrink.
We may not be able to stop software plagiarism, but we do not have to praise the plagiarist.
Wherever you see DVDSqueeze in this thread, DVDShrink is what should be used.
And a reminder, rule #6 applies if it appears that someone is promoting a hacked version of software. I don't believe that is the case here, rather an "honest" mistake has been made concerning this software.

Truth is I have DVD SHRINK... Have never seen Squeeze... The only reason I know it exists is from DVD Decryptor's web site... and I too think it sucks...
I was typing fast and that's the word that typed out... If Mr. Smiley face had used English instead of innuendo I would have apologized for my mistake instantly...!
I am sorry for my honest mistake but don't have much appreciation for...
Well you get it...
Thanks for clearing me up... Jeff

Well you get it... no innuendo was meant and you wouldn't have to apologise for the mistake as you ain't the 1st, but what don't you appreciate? cos I don't get it
as for me, I'm just disgusted when I hear DVDSqueeze mentioned and if you had clicked the link in the 2nd post you would have instantly known why. I've done it a few times, here is another example HERE (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=159284#532343) (click HERE) and see another guy who made the same typo
if I explained my full reasons behind each of my posts over & over again I'd be forever typing so that's why I now normally just give links to old posts and presume people will click on them, but don't blame my smiley :p posts for you not understanding why I :spit: when someone mentions DVDSqueeze. I started quite a fe threads regarding DVDSqueeze on a few forums so forgive me for being less informative than usual
I'll explain my posts tho, 1st was just spitting at the name
the 2nd was without the smilies
nope, IC is ;cool:
this is why ;sly;
:) :( :o :D ;) :p        :sly: :scared: :logfile: :readfaq: :stupid:
as for all the guys who are getting the list index out of bounds error after stripping, try opening an IFO and getting VTS Sectors
I say this cos normally IC would accept the DVD without this and correct it after, but maybe now with its new checking it's even more fussy
I ain't come across the problem yet but hopefully I'll come up with a workaround when I do but that's all I can advise at the minute :)
hope it helps
p.s. can I ask people who are getting the problem exactly what and how they are stripping so I can recreate it next time I do a backup
i.e. VTS_0x.x.VOB has 5 PGC each with 1 VOB ID, stripped VOB ID's 2 & 4 and got LIOOB error

Just go to ANY unwanted ID in any PGC.
Perfect example would be to strip the 20 Century FOX screen that comes up on all their disks. There will be a couple IDs in the main PGC in it's own title set just for the clip. I think the main VOB is about 7746.
Strip the ID of the Studio Banner...
Save... Get Sectors...
Try to Run IC 7.1.1...
You will get error (-1)
Never did this in 7.02
