View Full Version : Merge multiple or all titles from one dvd to one or more CDRs?

Sorry, if this has already been asked, but i didn't find anything.

How is this done? When I rip the whole DVD (backup mode from Smartripper) I get a bunch of .vob, .bup and .ifo files. How can I get them (all titles) all together on one or more CDs with DVD2SVCD?

I don't want to create an mpeg stream from each .ifo file and put them together with e.g. VCDEasy? Is there a way to do this with DVD2SVCD?

Any hints?

Many thanx in advance,
Fireball

convert each of them seperately then...once you're done you can merge whatever files you want using TMPG or simply making an svcd with multiple tracks.

You might also want to try the same thing that you do to convert 2 sided DVD's. The how to is in the Q+A.

Only thing is that you might have sync issues after the first set of vob's. If you do then the only way is what was said already.

Ok, but how can i calculate the right bitrate for each title to fit on the CD(s)? Is the total length the sum of the titles? Does this fit?

This is where a bitrate calculator might come in good handy. Doom9 has plenty of those on the website, so you might have a look.

I know how to calculate bitrates, but the problem is how can i calculate the space for each title. One thing is is to set the max avg. bitrate. But i don't know if this works with CCE.

Another method would be to set the CD size to the portion of space the title length is compared to the length of all titles together?

I never tried any of this. Has anyone experiences about this topic?

Cheers,
