Great work - brilliant programming - helpful advice :D

Version number incrementing strategy - not so good :(

On behalf of many I feel, could you possibly/pretty please/pretty please with sugar on it, actually increase version numbers with each release?

CVS builds are "unofficial" inbetween version builds. I like to have stuff like the new resizers tested before an official release. So it is released here publicly to very competent testers, so there hopefully are no serious bugs in an official SourceForge release. Making a new official release every second week is not a good strategy.

Alternatively testing could be closed, which I cannot see is in anybody's interest.

Besides, we'd be at 2.5.84 by now. ;)

What about changing the internal version # and date at least when you do the version() command and have like 2.51 beta/build 84 or whatever :P
