finally, I can ask my question :P
Ok..I just bought this dvd burner
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000649CI/103-3136330-8761426
And this dvd player
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00008RUXR/103-3136330-8761426
I wanted to make dvd copies...you know..transfer them to my computer and then burn them to two dvd-r discs.
A friend however, told me that it's a good chance a few of my movies wouldn't play on my player and that dvd +r is being phased out which would make it even harder for me to burn movies and likely just end up wasting my money on this thing.
Any of that true? Am I screwed with a dvd burner that will burn dvd-r's that I most likely won't be able to view on my new player?
