Thanks everyone for their time and support. In the past 10
days or so I have learned a lot reading up on the forum.

I just am clueless to all these commands in the .avs file
Like:
Telecide(Guide=1,Agg=True)
Decimate(5)
Telecide(Guide=1,Post=false).Decimate(5)
BlendFields()

I have read these commands mentioned on the forum, What do they do?

After reading all the manuals was at a point that if I needed
to IVTC then I checked the IVTC in field operation and encoded.
OR If I needed to Deinterlace I checked Field Deinterlace option
and encoded.
What are all the commands about?

Thanks

You say you read the forum but you sure didn't read the rules. Please read the rules.

Hello and welcome to the forum-

I think that Emp3r0r was (quite correctly) referring to Rule 9 of the Forum Rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm), something you must have missed when signing up and then doing your research for the last 10 days.

Telecide and its settings and Decimate are thoroughly explained in the DecombHelp.html which is in the Docs section of GKnot. If you're going to IVTC, especially if working with anime, you'd better make that document your bible.

And BlendFields is a deinterlacer which...blends the fields together. Don't know what a field is? Then read This (http://www.lurkertech.com/lg/fields/fields.html).

Hi and welcome. IVTC can be confusing. "Force FILM" may be all you need for some content, but then for other types of video input, you may need to turn "Force FILM" off and use IVTC in Gknot, or Deinterlace in Gknot, or manually edit IVTC or Deinterlace filters in the AviSynth scripts (.avs files) produced by Gknot.

Another good tutorial to help you get your hands around this is Force Film, IVTC, and Deinterlacing - what is DVD2AVI trying to tell you and what can you do about it? (http://www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm) If you haven't seen it, give it a try.
