All,

Got this pressing problem, please help:

I have ENTER THE DRAGON (Special Edition) which is 2 sided and when I choose some special features in the first side, it states "To access these features and others please flip the disc"...

How can I combine the stuff from both sides, modify the menus so that it goes to the specific features w/o asking to flip the disc? The size will obviously larger than a 4.3 Gig single side...I can use DVD2One to trascode it down at that stage...

Please help me if anyone has done this esp. with this particular film...

Thanks

If it were just the film split over the sides then not a problem - just recreate the second side VOBs with the right VOB ID then rename so they become part of the original VOB set.

What you say in your post sounds like it should be easy. But it isn't. If you are scenarist guru then you're OK - this task requires complete disasembling of the DVD menus and reconstructing them to link to all te right places.

All I can say is good luck. I've learnt alot in the last year or so but I would not even set out on that venture - maybe if Lucasarts used flippers for the Star Wars Saga but I don't think George is that much of a cheap-ass.

If I'm wrong I'd love to know cos some great films have been put onto flippers - the greatest of which is Goodfellas - WHY!?!? Why do this? Cheap-ass....mumble..crappy flippers...mutter..

Just to clarify for ldbirch2...

The entire feature and one of the special features is entirely on one side...Its ONLY the bonus features that are on the flipped side...

One has to delete some VOBID's (that display the please flip your disc for this feature option) and then somehow align the side 2 special feature VOB's to this menu...But I still think it will be a pain...

Anyhow, I hope someone else has done this movie before...

Thanks, but no clarification necessary - if you know how to relink menu items to PGCs without de-authoring then re-authoring I'd love to know how, as would everyone else here.

Without some serious authoring work, it aint gonna happen.
